S14 Bomber Project Update #4: Troubles in the Neighborhood

Ok, so there really isn't any troubles in the neighborhood, but I did have a lot of issues getting the damn car to start.  For two weeks I was trying to figure out what was causing my car not to turn over.  I check all of the fuses, relays, and double-checked all of my wiring.  Everything looked good, but the car just would not turn over at all.
I then replaced the battery, just in case the other was low.  Still, it didn't do anything. Then I took out the starter and had it tested at AutoZone.  (See Pic)  It tested out fine, so I had to bolt it back up.

At this point I was confused and pissed, but I found an article on how to hot-wire the starter, which is to run a wire from the starter signal wire to the positive battery post.  This bypasses the ignition wiring, and connects the starter directly to power.  Once I did this it fired right up.

Knowing that there is something wrong with my ignition switch or wiring, I decided on going the cheap route ( For Now) and wired in a switch between both sides of the wiring.  I kept the switch in the engine bay for a coupke days just to make sure there weren't any fires.  This made it a real pain in the ass to start the car, because I'd have to put it in neutral, pull the parkingbrake, and turn the key to the "On" position.  Then, I'd have to pop the trunk, flip the switch, start the car, the shut off the switch and close the hood.  Believe me this got old real quick.

So today I finally wired in the switch into the Cabin, and bought a push button start off Ebay for $7.50 to make this a little cleaner.

Total Project Cost So Far (Including Car)  - $2225.50
